Anonymous Checkout Mod for ProductCart 3.51

Brief Summary

This script modification allows customers to continuously check out from your store without ever having to create an account.

If your customers might prefer to be anonymous when they place their order on your site, this modification will help you increase sales by allowing them to check out in the manner they are most comfortable with.

What is more, this modification also

retains anonymous customers' shopping history – so if they ever do decide to crate an account, they will have full access to their customer profile and order history
prevents against anonymous customers creating new customer records – saving your database from becoming bloated
allows for customers who have already opted to check out anonymously before this modification is installed to keep checking out that way if they wish – they will continue to get the experience they expected
allows for customers to create a new account using the same email address they’ve been using all along – giving you the option to support your customers' desires
allows for customers who have already had to create an account to start checking out again without logging back in – they will now be able to experience the anonymity they've be wanting

System Requirements

Available for ProductCart V3.51 and above. This mod WILL NOT WORK on earlier versions of ProductCart. However, as it only modifies basic aspects of the checkout process, it is compativble with the BTO version of ProductCart and ProductCarts stores running the Apparel add-on.

This installation is a minor modification to the original source code. It should take ~ 5 minutes to install.

This modification will be overwritten by any version updates from Early Impact. However, we have made it very simple to re-customize in such an event. Web Merchant Services makes every effort to isolate the core code of its add-ons and mods from being overwritten by Early Impact upgrades. We try to keep the time to reinstall to ~ 10 minutes, making it really simple to do again if necessary.
