Catalog on Demand® for ProductCart®

Catalog on Demand® is a highly advanced technology that allows merchants and site visitors to self-publish custom downloadable ON-DEMAND PDF catalogs from the product data already in their store. Please take a moment to view this video to understand how easily your site vistors can use this powerful feature in your ProductCart store.

In this integration, the site visitor may publish on-demand catalogs from the following pages:

• Category
• Search results
• Wishlist
• Best Sellers
• Featured Products
• New Arrivals
• Specials

Your existing product data may be exported directly to Catalog on Demand. After completing that step, the merchant may log in to their account at Catalog on Demand and produce custom brochures and catalogs.

• From pages such as viewCategories.asp and showSearchResults.asp, any products within that page's selection may be published to a PDF catalog. Just click a button, supply your e-mail address, and minutes later an e-mail arrives with a link to the requested PDF publication.

• From the wishlist page (custquotesview.asp) any products that placed in the wishlist may similarly be published. This means your site visitor can liiterally browse your store, place items into their wishlist, and produce a custom catalog of your products.

• And when your site visitors are browsing this custom catalog, each product is clickable - linked directly back to your product page where they may proceed to purchase it!
  

Catalog on Demand calls their templating system LayoutPaks™. Catalog on Demand for ProductCart currently uses the Madrona LayoutPak. Click here for an overview of the various configuration changes one may introduce to Madrona. Additional LayoutPaks may be supported in the future.

An admin tool allows the merchant to control a variety of settings which define how data is used in your on-demand publications.

This modification is installed on www.madcowcutlery.com and www.tastefulgarden.com

Available for ProductCart V3.51 and above. For merchants who are running stock (unaltered) stores at v3.51 or v4.03, this mod includes pre-edited files which may be installed into your store. With that step complete, a couple minor edits and a bit of configuration at Catalog on Demand's web site, and you are ready to use the new feature.

Some merchants may have already altered pages in their store that are affected by this mod, and not be in a position to simply drop in our pre-edited scripts. For v3.11 and beyond, we provide carefully detailed directions as to how to install our changes into the various ProductCart files.
