Guest Checkout Eliminator mod for ProductCart 4

Don't want to allow customers to checkout as a guest on your version 4 store? Now you can eliminate the option.

Some merchants have business rules which make the new Guest Checkout option for customers in version 4 a problem, especially as there is no control panel option to turn it off.

This mod makes the changes to the new AJAX-driven checkout process, or “One Page Checkout,” that eliminate the option to checkout without creating an account; it forces customers to choose a password and thereby register an account in your ProductCart store.

The AJAX-driven checkout process is complex to modify (it took us over 5 hours to do this!). This mod makes it very easy for you: simply drop in a new file, change the Server Side Include call to it, and make some changes to your languages file to inform customers about their checkout options.

System Requirements

This Add-on supports both the standard and Apparel add-on, as well as BTO versions of ProductCart 4. Earlier versions have no need for this.

This modification will be overwritten by any version updates from Early Impact. However, we have made it very simple to re-customize in such an event. Web Merchant Services makes every effort to isolate the core code of its add-ons and mods from being overwritten by Early Impact updates. We try to keep the time to reinstall to ~ 10 minutes or less, making it really simple to do again if necessary.
