Brief Summary

Increase your sales by letting your customers request to be notified when you have items back in stock.

Be more efficient with inventory restocking by letting your customers notify you about what they want and how much they want of it.

This Add-on for ProductCart enables customers to request to be notified by email when an item that is currently out of stock has its inventory replenished. When a customer lands on a product page and that product is currently out of stock, they will be given the option to request to be notified when that item is available again.

Not only will they be able to request to be notified when the item is back in stock, but they will be able to request the quantity they are interested in.

Meanwhile, store administrators will have the ability to customize what the back in stock notification emails look like (as HTML formatted emails) and will have a reporting feature to see what the demand is for any given product that folks are requesting to be notified about – complete with what quantities they are looking for. What's more, if using an Apparel add-on store, the reports go down to the sub-product level.

Reporting also allows for administrators to review the history of notifications sent pending.

Finally, when administrators update inventory in any of the places that can be done in the PC control panel, email notifications will automatically be sent out to waiting customers – complete with information on how many other customers have requested to be notified and what total quantity they have requests . . . . “So hurry before they're all gone!”

System Requirements

This Add-on supports the standard, Apparel add-on and BTO builds of ProductCart 4.1. Earlier versions can be provided upon request.

This installation is a significant modification to the original source code and includes a database upgrade. It should take ~ 20 - 30 minutes to install.

This modification will be overwritten by any version updates from Early Impact. However, we have made it very simple to re-customize in such an event. Web Merchant Services makes every effort to isolate the core code of its add-ons and mods from being overwritten by Early Impact updates. We try to keep the time to reinstall to ~ 10 minutes or less, making it really simple to do again if necessary.
